How did I go from burnout to loving life?

I let life happen.

Let me explain what I mean.

Before I could do that, I lived in a constant pressure of having to comply with my vision of life and what I thought were my roles and responsibilities.

At home and at work, I did everything I could to live up to my expectations.

Needless to say, I was a very demanding bastard with myself.

Failures were not allowed.

All my successes at work demonstrated this.

Everything could be resolved with determination and hard work!

Stuck and unable to see beyond my self inflicted reality, I broke down.

I will save you the drama that preceeded that turning point. It's enough for you to know that everyting I thought I committed my life for, collapsed, health included.

Here's how I finally did it:

I didn't do anything at all.

Here's the tricky part though.

It was not "my" choice.

The chosing entity (me) had lost on all battle fields. That "thing" that I identified with, was no longer there to play any part and so finally the "seeing" could take place.

So my message to you is this:

Hard work, works, to build a bridge, to create a career, to play a game for the win.

Not to build a bridge and be happy while you are building it.
Not to work as you are.
Not to play a game and be fully in it no matter the outcome.

To see the illusory nature of this sense of self that we work so hard to live up to (or die up to I should say) I had to be smashed against the wall of truth.

This is definitely an option you can go for.

Or,

you can start investigating about your fundamental nature by looking at all your sufferings as gateways to go beyond that entity that has to work hard to make life happen.

Life happens no matter how difficult you make it.

Why not enjoying being life as it flows through you, as you.
